    Notes for Organisers

Disley Golf Club wishes you to have an enjoyable day and requests that, as head of your Golf Society, you read and implement the following rules and conditions on your society day, and ensure that they are adhered to. You may note that we have relaxed certain club rules to accommodate society golf, so please help us to make your day enjoyable, along with minimal disruption to our members, by adhering to these requirements. Should these requirements not be fulfilled, future bookings may be jeopardised. We thank you in advance for your understanding in these matters as I am sure you will see the benefits for both your society and Disley Golf Club if these terms and conditions are followed. The major days for societies are generally Tuesday and Friday, but it is sometimes possible to accommodate smaller parties on other weekdays. Tee times will be reserved (not before 9.00am) and must be strictly adhered to in order that others are not inconvenienced. Play will be from the yellow markers. The recommended form of golf is 3 ball Stableford, although other forms are acceptable with the exception of 4 ball medal.

    Handicaps

Visitors in golf societies who are not a member of a golf club or do not possess a handicap certificate must play with experienced members of the society. No more than 1 player in every 3 or 4 ball in any society must fit this category. Handicap certificates are required for all other members of the society.

    Slow Play

Slow play can ruin a society day out and should be avoided at all times. Please instruct your society in the event of a lost ball to call the next players through, or mark a 'no return' at that hole. If a particular player is slow then encourage them to speed up or ask them to pick up where they can no longer score on a hole. Observe the 'call through' rule on the 2nd hole, and allow the game in front to tee off first on joint tee bed areas.

    Dress Rules On the Course

All visitors must wear proper golfing attire. Jeans, training shoes, tee shirts or sweatshirts with large logos or transfers are NOT allowed. If gentlemen wear shorts, these should be tailored, knee length (not tennis shorts) and worn with white sports socks. You may be asked to leave the course if you are dressed inappropriately.

    Dress Rules In the Clubhouse

Smart casual dress is permitted. Denim, roll collars, polo neck shirts, outer clothing and hats are NOT allowed in the clubhouse.

    Mobile Phones

Mobile phones are NOT allowed on the course, and must be switched to silent / vibrate mode in the clubhouse. All calls in the clubhouse should be made / taken in the vestibule area, and not the lounge and bar areas.

    Bar
Bar opening times are dependent on the time of year. Distribution of free alcoholic beverages to guests by the organisers of a visiting party is only permitted if the drinks are purchased through the Bar.

    Trolleys/Buggies

Electric and pull trolleys can be used on the course when conditions allow. Please check with the Professional before play commences. Only wide wheeled trolleys are allowed on the course. We have four buggies available for hire.

    Booking and Payment Conditions

A provisional booking will be made on receipt of the Booking Form duly completed together with initial deposit of £5 per anticipated player.  Final figures for players and catering must be given to the Club Manager at least 3 days before the event, following which all Green Fees and Catering charges will become liable.

    Cancellation by Disley Golf Club

The Club reserves the right to cancel or amend any reservation if:1. the Club, or any part of it, is closed due to fire, natural disaster, employee dispute, or by order of any public authority

    2. the client fails to meet the booking conditions in respect of payments due to the Club

     3. inclement weather prevents the playing of golf. In this event the Club will refund any deposit made, but will have no further liability to the client.

Cancellation or Alteration of Terms by Client

All deposits paid to the Club are non-returnable, unless cancellation or alteration of terms is by Disley Golf Club.

Following the final confirmation of your party’s requirements 3 days before the event, the Society is liable for the total cost of the event including all green fees and meals.
